The Daily Grind, April 16 –Day 71
The Daily Grind April 16 –Day 71
530 AM Wake up
6 Turtle seeking snorkel from room (no turtles spotted)
630 coffee (and some mango and pineapple)
7 cliff jumping - second visit (climbed up and walked the plank this time and then
climbed down again – too scared to jump)
8 breakfast buffet (tried successfully not to eat too
much)
900 Boat trip to Isla Blanca for snorkel and swim (two
hours of sublime coral reef snorkelling)
1130 Snorkel from room (checked out the Honeycomb Moray
Eel under a rock on our doorstep)
1200 Lunch (defeated by the salad bar, pasta bar and freshly
smoked fish)
130 Holiday Admin (productive session,
finally finished booking Vietnam)
230 Snorkel from room (checked out the Honeycomb Moray
Eel on our doorstep)
300 Write Blog (we all got posted – readership in decline
though)
400 Kayaking with Jo (Taran writing diary – promised to
take him night snorkelling if he brings up to date)
630 Night Snorkel (sparse few of the usual suspects but preposterously
productive nocturnal journey into the deeps at dark; two BIG turtles, giant Hermit
Crab, Rays, sea slugs, puffer fish, weird hustley spirally worm, Jelly fish, star
fish, PLANKTON STINGS)
800 Supper and Kelty to Clinic with Plankton Sting (all
ok but sore, great buffet)
930 Read “Wonder”
Jo’s turn to read out loud. (highly
recommend to all)
1000 Fast asleep. (Sweet
dreams)
It occurs to me that as pleasures are granted so the
brain shuts down. I don’t think I had an
original or creative thought all day. No need.
Why rock the boat (figuratively and literally as Taran would say).
Perhaps I will think differently tomorrow. We saw some passing cloud and for a moment
wondered.
Even on Alpulit Island storms may come; disquiet may loom.
Owwww!!to the plankton stings.
ReplyDeleteSeems like a daily grind that one could live with for a short time anyway😉
