The smiling students

Today I took photos of all the kids while they stood up in front of the class and read their self introductions – who they are, their family, their hobbies and what they want to do as a job.  They are a lovely bunch.  And I hope we will stay in touch.  Maybe one day they will come and visit us in Oxford. 

Ravy wants to be a racing car driver.  His parents are market sellers and he lives near Battambang.

Davith is 16 and was sent to this school by his brother because he has always struggled with school so has had very little education.  What a smiling boy - he seems very happy here.  He wants to be a teacher.  His mother is a vegetable seller.

Rida, 21, always smiling.  She wants to be an accountant 

Sekah, 21, son of a tuk tuk driver wants to be a bodyguard.

 Phua, 21- he wasn't sure what he wanted to be yet.  But he has plenty of time to decide.

Phanny is 18 and her parents are rice farmers.  She lives 8 hours away by bus in Kampong Speu.  She wants to be a teacher.

 

These two are Hellie and Fiona, Sova and Friendly's cheeky kids who are adorable and even have their own youtube channel.
